A spiritual connection with nature and the seasons

Would you like to spend a few hours in gentle contemplation with nature?

We are starting a series of seasonal Saturday morning meetings to provide an opportunity to spend time in gentle, spiritual contemplation with nature. The meetings will reflect Franciscan Christian spirituality. St Francis of Assisi founded an expression of Christian spirituality practically based on Jesus’ life and teachings. Central to this is love for all, a practical path of help for others and a close relationship with nature.

The meetings are intended to be suitable and welcoming to everyone, whatever spiritual or religious path you may be on. All ages, young people, families and children welcome.

Our first meeting will be in the community centre in Litchfield (just north of Whitchurch) on Saturday 8th February. It will start at 1000 am. It will include tea and coffee, a brief introduction to the Franciscan outlook, what’s happening on the local farm, and what’s happening in nature. We will then take a short walk (for those who want to) on local paths providing opportunities to stop, contemplate, meditate, pray, or just be quiet in nature, as you choose. We will then return to the community centre to talk about what we found (if you wish) and have lunch together (please bring a packed lunch).

These meetings are free and will include tea and coffee.
